MERIDIAN, Idaho — Fire crews from Boise and Meridian responded to a fire near the 4100 block of E. Pine Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. According to Boise Fire, the fire involved a large pile of railroad ties.
Limited water supply in the area made it difficult for crews to suppress the fire. Fortunately, Boise Fire said that no structures were impacted, including the nearby Lewis and Clark Middle School.
The fire was extinguished by roughly 6 p.m., but crews continued to monitor the fire overnight.
Meridian Fire tells Idaho News 6 that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
